In recent years, Hurricane Mitch devastated the region by killing thousands, leaving millions homeless, and destroying much of the country's economic infrastructure. In what has become one of the poorest nations in the western hemisphere, unemployment, poverty, and an oppressive culture of corruption have kept the people of Honduras in dire poverty.
Based in San Pedro Sula, you and your team will learn how to THINK SMALL by meeting people face-to face, bringing them life-changing hope through evangelistic and service project outreaches. Work with local churches and establish one-on-one connections in bustling market places, schools, and in the barrios. |
