Urban Immersion Mission Trips

New York City mission trips offer a true urban immersion experience for our teams!

With more than 8 million people living in 309 square miles, it's easy for New Yorkers to feel alone and insignificant. Discover the sights, sounds and smells of this iconic city as you serve the least of these and share the hope of the Gospel with the homeless, the broken, the hurting, the discouraged, and those living in poverty.
 

 Ministry Opportunities

  • Build relationships with inner-city kids in after-school programs or at Saturday bus ministries

  • Volunteer in soup kitchens and serve meals to the homeless

  • Package clothing and school supplies in distribution centers that support low-income schools

  • Distribute food boxes to impoverished families

  • Spend time with the displaced and disenfranchised in city parks

  • Partner with local churches to share Christ in their communities

  • Fully immerse yourself or your group in the urban lifestyle as you discover how God is at work in all five Burroughs during your week-long trip! 

Adventure Activities

  • Travel to the top of the Empire State Building

  • Ride a ferry around New York Harbor with great views of the Statue of Liberty

  • Pray at Ground Zero (9/11 Memorial)

  • Shop and eat in Times Square and Chinatown

  • Explore the sights and sounds of Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge and more...

3. Submit a pastor's reference

Custom groups of 20+ people:
1. Select the custom trip option above
2. Choose your dates and location
3. Schedule a call with RIM to plan your trip
4. Submit a group deposit to secure spots

Trip Cost Includes

  • Ground transportation to/from JFK airport*

  • Meals (hot breakfast/dinner, sack lunch)

  • Lodging (always in beds and with hot showers!)

  • Subway passes for travel to ministry sites

  • RIM Project Director(s) to facilitate your trip

  • Most ministry supplies (check your packing list)

  • Ministry training and debrief (varies by trip)**

  • Adventure Day activities

Trip Cost Does Not Include

  • Airfare to NYC (unless you book a custom trip*)

  • Meals en-route from home to/from NYC

  • Health Insurance (must show proof of coverage)

  • Additional costs incurred due to trip interruptions such as flight delays or cancellations, natural disasters, wars, pandemics, bad weather, etc.
