Mission Experiences

It was such a joy to work with the medical missions team from Real Impact Missions, and I’m grateful for the chance to share my experience from this year’s trip. I realized that the English language has opened many doors for me, and I want my community to have the same opportunities.

As a nurse, I felt so grateful to share medical education with the families that attended our clinic. I cam home asking God how I can be a part of medical mission trips for the rest of my life. I'm thankful for Real Impact Missions, the people of Guatemala, and the privilege of seeing the Holy Spirit move in such powerful ways. I can't wait to go back!!

On my very first medical mission trip I didn't expect that God would open my eyes to how big His Kingdom is--and how small my own vision of Heaven has been.

It was the last day of medical clinics, and a 13 year old boy ran up to me and said he remembered me from when our team visited his school.

One by one, our team knelt down and washed the feet of each girl that was in their group and prayed over them.

Our local contact, Pastor Tito, decided that his community’s greatest need was… THE GOSPEL for their children.

Before I could even stop and think, I heard myself asking if we could buy this girl a coke and talk with her. She was so shocked.

At their church, I was able to share my testimony. My story tells of how God brought me out of sexual exploitation into His arms.

In addition to Harvey making the life-changing decision to follow Christ, he also just needed a hug and a friend to grieve with.
